Why Do So Few People Give 2 Star Review
A rating of 2 stars is worse than a rating of 1 star, because you know whoever rated it actually tried and tested it and they're not a troll or bullheaded hater

A lot of people also don't seem to sympathise how rating systems work and will charge per unit an item every bit 1 star because they used it for the wrong matter. Giving a two star rating is intentional.
Edit: clarified confusing wording

That also - a 1-star review is honestly so less credible in every way than 2 stars.

This. Half the one star reviews are things similar:
-
I ordered a toaster and a toaster came when clearly I wanted a microwave, 1 star!
-
I didn't read that this was an electric toaster, I idea it was a gas powered toaster fifty-fifty though the specifications clearly stated information technology was an electric toaster, 1 star!
-
Amazon said this would come in 1 day, but it came in 1 solar day and three minutes, 1 star!

Information technology'due south amazing how many i star ratings I see are related to shipping.
Didn't make it on time, arrived broken, never received. That's not a review for the product, it's often a review for the shipping company.
level 2
I feel like people in general don't go how rating systems work fifty-fifty when they understand the concept. If it doesn't work perfectly it's a 1-star, or if it basically got the chore done it's an instant v-star
level 2
people will rate things 1 star because they find the average inappropriate.
"what, that's got an average score of eight? information technology'southward a 7 at best!" *rates information technology i star*

lol, one star amazon prime movie reviews are the all-time
"the dialogue isn't in english" ( I was looking at reviews for Draug while I was waiting for my wife to come lookout man with me)
Then there's all the apprentice movie critics 1 staring stuff to feel loftier and mighty.
About the only silly one I can agree with is "R rated just has no tits in it"

Yep but when Guitar Middle sent me the wrong guitar twice and and so tried to argue that the window to return the guitar had passed during a pandemic, they were getting a i star rating.

Recently looked into getting a good quality cordless vacuum and most 1 - two star ratings were bombardment related. Didn't last every bit long equally advertised ect.
These vacuums have a high ability style, as well equally an eco and I highly suspect these are idiots thinking the "lasts for up to 35 minutes" is for the high power mode even though the version I purchased has indicating pips and volition sometimes move upwards or down depending on the mode. Which should be obvious.

I worked for a marketplace analysis company. Both 1 and v star reviews are completely ignored equally those customers (if fifty-fifty a real person) won't exist swayed either way.
level 2
I tend to favor a thumbs up/down rating system over a 1-5 just because people tend to go for the extreme rating anyways, so a one-5 rating system will never provide yous with an accurate boilerplate.
level 2
Ordered a fork. Couldn't eat soup. 1 star!
level 2
Information technology'south generally all or nothing to people; 1 or 5 stars. I'm not one of them, simply I tend to rate 5 stars if the problems aren't very serious. 5 stars is always appreciated by the seller. 1 star should be really rare.

My company gets trust pilot reviews from our customers, I install heating.
Had one concluding calendar week, fantastic review, praised us, praised the company, praised the product. Ane star. Sometime people 😅
level ii
Now everybody that likes to give out ane stars are going to commencement giving out 2 stars because they know the real truth
